Rathaus at Christmastime

Rathaus at Christmastime

In Vienna, delight in scenes of St. Nicholas – elegant wreaths, twinkling lights, roasting chestnuts, hot glühwein and fruity punsch… all signs of holiday festivities.  Many Christkindlmarkts big and small grace Austria’s capital.  You feel the magic on the Rathausplatz in front of the city hall, Vienna’s oldest and largest Christmas market… live music, sparkling trees, charming arts and crafts, Viennese pastries and much more.

In the center of Europe, Vienna was the capital of the Habsburg Empire for six hundred years.   The city’s formal Baroque atmosphere contrasts with its lively atmosphere.  Superb concerts, operas, museums, decorated historic places, and shopping await you.
